Fitness junkies back in the day didn’t have the luxuries that we have today. Back in the day people would occasionally go to the gym, do some cardio on a bike machine or the treadmill, and perhaps something else that’s now irrelevant.
Fitness, was often associated with going to the gym, which pretty much made working out not an option for a lot of people.
But, Beachbody started a movement that made working out at home a possibility, and even popular. Beachbody gave working out at home a “face lift”. They gave the consumer more variety, from bodybuilding programs, to yoga and meditation programs, to pure cardio programs. Ever since Beachbody came into the fitness scene, working out has never been the same.
The purpose of this article is to try and give you an idea of what the best Beachbody program is. And along the way, breakdown how Beachbody revolutionized the fitness industry.
Each Beachbody workout has a different purpose, and are very different from each other. While some were designed to help you lose a lot of weight, others were designed to help you gain weight. Some of them go on a more spiritual route, incorporating things like Yoga, and meditation.
Each trainer within the program has their own unique style. They have their own way of motivating you, and helping you reach your fitness goals.
Created by the famous fitness trainer Shaun T, the Focus T25 program is an extremely entertaining, challenging, and quick way to losing a lot of weight. Each workout is only 25 minutes long. But don’t let that fool you. The workouts contain no breaks whatsoever. So it’s 25 minutes of sweating and grinding.
This program combines the muscle toning power of Pilates, with the incredible flexibility of Yoga to give you a toned, and slim looking body. PiYo requires absolutely no equipment, there’s no cardio, and it’s a very engaging and fun program. The methods used are actually quite genius, to be quite honest. If you would like to read more about PiYo, go check out my comprehensive PiYo review.
This is Beachbody’s bodybuilding style program, designed to help you gain tons of lean muscle mass. This program helps you make all kinds of muscle gains by using a technique called dynamic set training. Which is a more intense variation on the traditional bodybuilding style of training. The Body Beast program is a total of 90 days, and was created by the champion body builder, Sagi Kalev. Read my Body Beast review my clicking the link.
Literally everyone has heard of P90x, and if you haven’t, then you’ve likely been living in a cave on a desert island. P90x is a 90 day program that incorporates a technique called muscle confusion. This technique is designed to keep you from hitting plateaus in your training. Which, will keep your progress coming at an exceptional rate. This program is nothing short of awesome. Tony Horton is an amazing personal trainer, who keeps you motivated to finish every workout, and leaves you wanting more.
The Insanity workout forever changed my approach to doing cardio. Shaun T, the creator of insanity, created this program to push you to your limits, so that even the average person could become an elite athlete. This program is only second to P90x in terms of success stories, and copies sold. And for good reason. Insanity is by far one of the toughest workouts ever created.
This my friends, is the sequel to the Insanity workout. And, would be what most would consider to be the hardest workout ever created. It’s a 30 day program, that will transform your body, and give you a new idea of what pushing yourself to the limit means. If Insanity wasn’t enough for you, this program will be more than enough, that’s a guarantee. This will make you into an elite athlete, and make you perform better than you ever though possible.
This program differs from most Beachbody programs, in that instead of gaining results slow and steady, you get results fast and furious. This program puts a unique twist on meal planning and portion control. In fact, many people would say that this is some sort of diet plan, rather than a workout routine. But, the results speak for themselves. People seem to get results at an incredible rate with the 21 day fix.
To figure this out, I did a lot of research, using YouTube, Google, pretty much every social media outlet I could think of, and tried to determine which programs had the most amount of followers.
My way I did my research on Youtube, was to gather the number of videos created about each program. The top 5 Beachbody programs on Youtube were:
In that order.
The way I did my research on Google was to find the search volume for each workout. In other words, find out how many people were searching for each product. The results for this were:
In that order.
The way I did my research for social media, was I went to each of the product pages, and added up the number of followers across all social media. Meaning, I added up Facebook followers, Instagram followers, Twitter followers, and so on. Here are the results from this:
In that order.
In the end, it ended up being a very close race between P90x and Insanity. But, based on overall numbers and the popularity of the product, I am going to give the most popular award to P90x. I think this is the right decision because it’s what got Beachbody started in the fitness industry. It created amazing transformations, and continues to do so. Overall, I would choose P90x over Insanity. But, it is a very close race between the two.
So, what do you do to achieve your weight loss goal?
First of all, choose a diet plan that you are comfortable with, and that you are sure you can stick to all the time. Although bizarre diets promise excellent results, usually the losses that you lose are very short-lived.
Here are a few simple tips that you can accomplish:
Eat a decent breakfast. In the morning you will get a good start with a healthy breakfast. You can eat a bowl of cereal with some fresh fruit slices or a cup of yogurt with wheat toast, etc. To burn calories, your body needs food energy, so make sure you eat something early.
Reducing carbohydrates – In the diet world, there are many discussions about carbohydrates. Some diet plans suggest cutting carbohydrates in general, but this is not a good idea because your body needs carbohydrates for fuel. Instead, reduce the intake of carbohydrates by going down on white bread and pasta.
The practice of administering a portion – portions of food on your plate should be no more than your fist. Do not be tempted to overfill your plate with food. Practice that there is only one help. When you eat, do not feel that you should eat every drop of food on your plate. Instead, eat your portion and take it home.
Drink enough water – it’s important to stay hydrated during the diet. Water is a major source of energy for your body. Water washes away many toxins and fat molecules. Drinking more water will help reduce appetite and help you lose pounds.
Get a good workout. Be sure to train at least three times a week for at least 20 minutes. Exercise is one of the fastest ways to build muscle, which helps create enough energy to burn this unwanted fat. Check out my Beachbody workout reviews page for a great workout program.
Embrace fruits and vegetables – with most diets; you can eat as many fruits and vegetables as you want. Choose your favorites and include them in your meals every day. This is a healthier way to save food, quickly losing weight.
Throw out unhealthy food – Go through the kitchen cupboards and throw out any tempting snacks that will tear you from your diet targets. Potato chips, Doritos, cookies, Twinkies, candies and any other empty calorie foods. If you want, I shed a tear but pushed it into the wastebasket.
Eat slowly – instead of rushing for food, savor every bite and try your food. Rushing to finish your record, you make you go and get seconds and even a third help. You will feel much more satisfied after eating when you eat slowly.
Get a lot of sleep – try to sleep as much as possible. Eight hours of sleep are ideal. The fact is that when you are deprived of sleep, you are most likely to make a wrong choice of food than when you are completely rested.
Eat fruit instead of sweets. Replace this donut with an apple. Replace this sweet melon with fresh melon. Every time you usually have cookies, a piece of cake or another sweet temptation. Take instead fresh fruit. You will still get this sweet taste, but not all these fats and calories.
Every people have his view on the home workout. Some feel that going to a gym is the best way to perform exercises. But some think that jogging in the park or around the playground is enough to keep fit. However, what troubles them is that they can not spare enough time to do exercise since everyone is as busy as a bee. For example, if you use the Body Beast workout program, you need to spend one to two hours on it every day. That is a difficult problem especially for those who take several jobs. The solution to your problem is to do basic workouts in your house. Body Beast is a basic home program, but it is not a very easy one. The following paragraphs will tell you the tips on keeping fit in the bustle of life.
1. Stretch when you wake up and before you sleep. It is important to do this at those times since you would be lying on your bed. It is pretty simple to do. Just raise your hands upward and extend as far as you can. You can also do this standing up. While upright, you can bend to the sides to help stretch your waist. Be sure to bend to the left and the right. You can also try and touch your toes. This motion is like bending forward. The more you stretch out, the more effective the exercise becomes.
2. Do sit-ups whenever you can. This exercise greatly trains your abdominal muscles. Sit-ups are very easy to do and don’t require any equipment. All you need is a good place with enough room for you to lie down. You can even do it after your stretching. Once you keep doing it, you will find yourself doing more every day you continue it. A good way to perform this is by tucking your feet under the bed or couch so that you will be kept in place.
3. Another basic exercise you should take into consideration is squatting. 5-10 minutes squatting will be very helpful to your leg strength. And it is also very simple to perform. But you should remember that do not put your weight on your toes. Soon enough, you will find it is not that tough, and then you can do more practice.
Even from your home, you can keep yourself fit. Check out the Focus T25 workout program for more information. If time is of the essence, there are several ways to squeeze in simple exercises during any busy day. If the one hour a day required by the P90x is too much for you, these simple exercises can be your friend.
When all ten easy ways to lose weight are considered, you are on the way to achieving a slimmer and healthier body. Keep in mind though that weight loss does not happen overnight. These ten easy ways to lose weight are more likely to generate your desired result when both patience and determination are present.
Love handles, muffin tops, you can call them what you want, but the summer is right around the corner. And you’ve still got them! I know I wouldn’t want to walk around showing off my shirtless body if I still have that ugly belly fat sitting on my hips.
Because let’s be real, muffin tops are only good for one thing, and that’s not showing off your body at the beach 😉
But, before you decide that the fix to this problem is doing a million sit ups and going on some crazy diet that only lets you drink flavored water, Let’s explore some more effective options for getting rid of that stubborn belly fat.
I’m extremely dedicated, and passionate, about eating healthy, and keeping the best body that I can. In fact I encourage you to check out my About Me page to find out more about me, and maybe get some inspiration.
Now, you’re probably thinking that in order to lose all this weight that you need some expensive gym membership. THAT IS NOT TRUE. You can get into the best shape of your life right at home, or in your yard. Find out more about that by looking at my Beachbody reviews page.
The first, and most important thing, to losing those love handles, is to clean up your diet. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, 80% of your results are made in the kitchen, and 20% are made in the gym. This is 100% the truth! In fact, I’d even go so far as to say that it’s closer to 90% in the kitchen and 10% in the gym.
You can clean up your diet by including more vegetables, fruits, lean proteins, healthy fats, and eat fewer carbs, sugars, and alcohol.
Diet, whether you like it or not, is the most important factor to creating a healthy, attractive physique.
But, dieting isn’t easy (obviously), or everyone would be in amazing shape.
Keeping yourself accountable is more than half the battle when trying to stick to your diet.
This is why it’s recommended that you get a structured, and detailed nutrition guide, created by fitness experts. the 21 Day fix, and Focus t25 workout programs come with great nutritional guides that will help you get rid of those love handles.
I also find that some kind of protein shake, or meal replacement shake, are life savers when trying to diet down.
So you now know that diet is the key to losing weight and shedding that belly fat. Now we’ll cover why exercise is also an important factor to consider. If you want a quick and easy program, check out my workout reviews page.
In my experience, when trying to lose that belly fat, resistance training is the most effective form of training. Lifting heavy, focusing on strength, and moving your body with a purpose will get you great results.
What’s the easiest way to do this? Compound movements. Exercises that focus on the major muscle groups.
Exercises such as:
These exercises are extremely good compound movements. Not to mention, it’s an AMAZING feeling when you hit a new personal record on bench press, or deadlift.
Now, again, you’re probably thinking that you need a gym membership to do most of these exercises. Again, this isn’t true! You can do all of these exercises at home, and with minimal equipment.
The bench press you can do by laying on the floor, and using a couple of dumbbells. And the rest of the movements you need next to no equipment for. You could do all of these with just some dumbbells, a barbell, some weights, and a pull up bar.
If you do what I’ve recommended and focus on strength training, and compound movements, then you’re going to be working your abs.
But I get it, you still want to focus your abs to get that sexy six pack. I am the same way!
With this said, I recommend looking up some good ab routines. They’re a dime a dozen on the internet, and most of them are comprehensive and good.
Also, just by shedding some of that belly fat, you’re abs are going to start to show all on their own!
We’re busy people, everyone is at one point or another.
You have a full time job, maybe a college student, or even a family. Or maybe you’re just too busy to work out the way you want too.
Before we go any further, I’m going to tell you that there are options! And a lot of them!
Focus T25 for example, is a fantastic program for people with time constraints. Each workout is ONLY 25 minutes long.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of anyone who can’t find 25 minutes in their day to do a workout.
I actually did the math, and 25 minutes only takes of 2% OF YOUR DAY. You can find time for that, I guarantee it.
Plus, you owe it to yourself to look better, and feel better!
Just keep these key points in mind. Losing weight comes down to two major factors.
Your diet, and your workout program.
If those two things are on point, then I guarantee you will get results.
I’m excited for you to finally start losing weight. And I’ll even help you with the process if you want. Just shoot me an email.
Check out my blog for more informational tips, reviews, and even check out my own results if you want.
