So you’re here because you want to read up on T25 vs Insanity. That’s great! In this article we’re going to cover everything you need to know about both of these programs, and which one will be best for you.
I’ve been getting a lot of questions from people who want to know if T25 or Insanity is better for them. So instead of answering them all individually, I figured I’d write up this post and then refer them to it. Both of these programs target completely different groups of people, even though they may seem similar in some respects.

Differences Between T25 vs Insanity
T25 is designed to get you the best results possible in the shortest amount of time, whereas Insanity will get you into the best shape of your life, period. Now, those two things may sound similar, but let me explain.
Even though T25 will still get you great results, there’s only so much you can do in 25 minutes. Insanity will get you better results, as the workouts are generally a lot harder, as well as longer. So, the tradeoff between the programs is that you save time with T25 but maybe don’t get as good of results as you would with Insanity.

Focus T25 Overview

Insanity is a 60-day program, with an average workout length of just over 45 minutes. Obviously, this is program has much longer workouts than T25. As well as having longer workouts, Insanity will have you working out 6 times a week instead of 5.
Insanity doesn’t require any equipment to do the program, just a good pair of sneakers and some workout clothes. One suggestion from me is that you invest in a good heart rate monitor. This program will get your heart rate up very high, and to be safe it’s best that you monitor it so you can make sure you don’t overextend yourself.
Insanity also has 12 individual workouts that you will be doing over the course of the program.

Who Can do Focus T25?
Focus T25 is really great for beginners or people with intermediate levels of fitness. It definitely won’t be challenging for more advanced people.
T25 also focuses more on resistance training that Insanity does. It has a nice balance of cardio and resistance workouts.

Who can Do Insanity?
Insanity is for anyone who wants to end up with a puddle of sweat on their living room floor
Insanity is easily the hardest cardiovascular workouts that I have ever done. It’s not great for resistance training, although there are some resistance moves in the program. But it is amazing for getting you into the best cardiovascular shape of your life.
There’s a lot of what’s called plyometrics in the program, which basically means high impact exercises. So if you have problems with your joints, then this program probably isn’t for you. Also, if you haven’t exercised in a long time, I do not recommend this program! It is extremely hard, and you may end up injuring yourself.
Differences in Diet Plans
To be honest, the diet plans for both of these programs are very similar. Both programs will show you how to calculate how many calories you need to be eating, and both will show you the best foods to eat in order to achieve your goals. There’s not much of a difference here.
Which Program is Best for Weight Loss?
This is a great question because the obvious answer is Insanity. But, it really depends on what your goals are. The answer to this question will rely on exactly how much weight you want to lose.
Both programs will help you lose weight if you’re in a calorie deficit. Insanity burns more calories than T25 by a long shot since the workouts are longer and more intense.
