Now it’s time to actually start gaining some muscle. You’ve become used to the habits that you built in the build phase of the body beast lean meal plan, and now it’s time to get serious. Phase two of the body beast lean meal plan is going to be fairly similar in terms of diet. Your macronutrients will stay the same. But, you will have to recalculate the amount of calories you will be needed based on your current conditioning (your weight and body fat percentage). As you progress through phase 2, it’s important to stay mindful of the quality of the foods you are consuming, because this is very important. In the first two phases, your macros are broken down into 25% protein, 25% fat, and 50% carbs. The strange thing for most people is the increased amount of carbs. You really don’t need to worry about the carbs, because on the body beast meal plan you’re supposed to be eating a lot! So don’t worry about it, you won’t be deficient in the other 2 macros.
The amount of carbs that you’re eating is designed that way on purpose. During these two phases, you’re going to be consuming a TON of energy. We want our body to use those carbs for energy instead of our muscle tissue, as that would be very counterproductive. You need the carbs in order to keep your energy levels high.
Another problem that a lot of people have with the 25% protein ratio, is that it’s not high enough! After all, protein is essential for building muscle right? Well, the truth is, you don’t need as much protein as you think to build muscle. It’s recommended that you get anywhere from .8 grams to 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. Meaning if you weight 150 lbs., it’s recommended that you get 150 grams of protein in daily.
The 25% fat is also important, as fat is essential to keeping your hormones in balance, stabilizing blood sugar, and are also great for slowing down digestion.
This is the phase that’s going to help you lose all the fat that you gained during the first two phases. You’ve bulked up, put on a good amount of fresh lean muscle, now it’s time to shed the fat and show off a bit. During this phase, you’re going to recalculate your caloric intake again, and you’ll also be adjusting your macronutrient ratio. Your new macro nutrient ratio is going to be 40% protein, 30% carbs, and 30% fats for this phase.
The decrease in carbs along with the decrease in calories is going to help you lose the most amount of fat. While the increased fat will help keep you fuller for longer periods of time.
The calorie deficit that you’ll be in won’t be huge, it’s going to be pretty small. This is important, as getting too far into a deficit can be detrimental, and cause your body to use muscle tissue for energy. This is Beachbody’s bodybuilding style program, designed to help you gain tons of lean muscle mass. This program helps you make all kinds of muscle gains by using a technique called dynamic set training. Which is a more intense variation on the traditional bodybuilding style of training. Literally everyone has heard of P90x, and if you haven’t, then you’ve likely been living in a cave on a desert island. P90x is a 90 day program that incorporates a technique called muscle confusion. This technique is designed to keep you from hitting plateaus in your training. Which, will keep your progress coming at an exceptional rate. This program is nothing short of awesome. Tony Horton is an amazing personal trainer, who keeps you motivated to finish every workout, and leaves you wanting more.
The Insanity workout forever changed my approach to doing cardio. Shaun T, the creator of insanity, created this program to push you to your limits, so that even the average person could become an elite athlete. This program is only second to P90x in terms of success stories, and copies sold. And for good reason. Insanity is by far one of the toughest workouts ever created.
This my friends, is the sequel to the Insanity workout. And, would be what most would consider to be the hardest workout ever created. It’s a 30 day program, that will transform your body, and give you a new idea of what pushing yourself to the limit means. If Insanity wasn’t enough for you, this program will be more than enough, that’s a guarantee. This will make you into an elite athlete, and make you perform better than you ever though possible.
This program differs from most Beachbody programs, in that instead of gaining results slow and steady, you get results fast and furious. This program puts a unique twist on meal planning and portion control. In fact, many people would say that this is some sort of diet plan, rather than a workout routine. But, the results speak for themselves. People seem to get results at an incredible rate with the 21 day fix.
To figure this out, I did a lot of research, using YouTube, Google, pretty much every social media outlet I could think of, and tried to determine which programs had the most amount of followers.

In the end, it ended up being a very close race between P90x and Insanity. But, based on overall numbers and the popularity of the product, I am going to give the most popular award to P90x. I think this is the right decision because it’s what got Beachbody started in the fitness industry. It created amazing transformations, and continues to do so. Overall, I would choose P90x over Insanity. But, it is a very close race between the two.

The celebrity personal trainer Sagi Kalev is the man who created the body beast program. Sagi is a body builder, and has been for a long time. He has a degree in physical education from the university of Florida, as well as a minor in dietetics nutrition.
He’s well known for having trained numerous bodybuilders in preparation for their shows. And he has competed in several bodybuilding shows himself. He’s won two Mr. Israel titles as a bodybuilder, which is quite an accomplishment. He certainly knows what he’s doing.
He spent quite a bit of time as a personal trainer, where he helped hundreds, if not thousands of clients. Once he finished his career as a personal trainer, he moved on to create the body beast program. He saw creating this program as a opportunity to help millions of people. More people than he could ever individually train on his own. And so the body beast program was born.

In this breakdown of the body beast schedule, we’ll cover what each phase consists of, and what you should expect from each phase. Body beast isn’t an easy program by any means, and is a great program for people seeking a challenge. Each workout lasts roughly 30 minutes to one hour.
The body beast program consists of three difference phases:
Before you even start the program, it’s important for you to determine what your daily caloric intake will be. You can learn how to do this in the programs nutrition guide. Once you have completed this step, you can move forward and choose one of the eating plans recommended to you in the nutrition guide.
The building phase is three weeks long. This phase is designed to ‘build’ your foundation for working out. Hence, the name building phase. For the body beast schedule in this phase, you will work out for six days a week, with only one days rest. This phase is designed to acclimate you to the different exercises. This is great for beginners who don’t really know what they’re doing just yet.
During this phase you’ll learn all the basics on what you need to do, in order to get the most out of your workouts. In the building phase, there are four different workouts:
There are also two cardio workouts in this phase, which is great because cardio is very important.
Now, you can probably guess what you’ll be doing in this phase from the title. That’s right, you’re going to be bulking. This is good news for all you guys out there!
This phase is six weeks long, so twice as long as the build phase. You’ll also only be doing five workouts a week instead of six. But don’t let this fool you, even though you have an extra rest day, doesn’t mean it’s going to be easier. You’ll be happy you have that extra rest day when you try the program and find out for yourself.
This phase contains five new workouts:
This phase is different from the build phase, in that workouts don’t target more than one muscle group at a time. For example, instead of hitting chest and triceps in the same workout like you would in the build phase, you only hit chest in the bulk phase.
I also recommend reevaluating your daily caloric intake before starting this phase. If you’re gaining weight to quickly (more than half a pound per week), then you should decrease your calories so you don’t gain too much fat. This is a mistake that I see a lot of people make during this program.
This is the final phase in this program, but is considered by many to be the hardest phase out of the three. This phase is three weeks long, and contains significantly more cardio workouts than the first two phases.
This is the phase that you’re really going to see the most changes in. This phase rounds off the program by helping you get rid of the fat that you put on in the bulking phase, to reveal that six pack that you’ve always wanted.

In our Body Beast review, I’m going to go over why the program works, and why the program DOESN’T work. These things are important to know before you buy the program, because it could greatly effect your decision. It will also help you understand what kind of Body Beast results you could expect.
In my body beast review, I found out that the one of the biggest reasons that people like this program, is that it allows you to build a solid physique from your own living room. This should entirely get rid of the need for you to go to the gym.
The program uses some very well known training techniques, that have been used by bodybuilders for years, as well as some not so well known training techniques.
Body beast starts you off at a slow and steady pace, using lighter weight in the beginning, and working your way up. This will help you build a solid foundation from which to work with later in the program. Once you’ve built a solid foundation, you’ll start what is called ‘dynamic set training’. Dynamic set training is the concept of pre-exhaustion. During this phase of the training you’ll be doing a high number of sets with lighter weight. For the second phase, you’ll work into heavier weight, which is where you’ll build the most muscle.
In the body beast program you’ll be doing well known, basic moves. But, you’ll be doing them in a unique sort of way. In my opinion, the reason that Body Beast is so effective, is the way that the program has been structured. It gives you everything you need to succeed. It gives you step by step instructions for each of the workouts, a comprehensive nutrition guide, and it recommends supplements that you could take to get better results.
Another reason that Body Beast can be effective, is that it doesn’t require you to do the 6 workouts every week like the program instructs. If you don’t want to gain a huge amount of muscle, then you can choose to do only three workouts per week. This will allow you to still gain muscle, and strength, but you won’t pack on a huge amount of muscle.
To get the best results, it’s recommended that you eat plenty of lean proteins, such as chicken or red meat. Drink plenty of water. And get plenty of sleep. Apart from that, make sure you train hard every workout, and you will get great body beast results.
As with many workout programs, it’s possible to get great results, and it’s possible that you won’t get great results. Some programs just don’t work for everyone. And this program is no exception. It is possible that your Body Beast results won’t be what you expect, even if you do everything right in this program.
This program isn’t very friendly for beginners. If you don’t already have a pretty comprehensive understanding of lifting weights, then you might find this program difficult.
This program is also not really structured for women, even though women CAN do the program. This program is definitely geared more towards men, for obvious reasons.
The nutrition guide in the body beast program also recommends that you eat quite a bit. This can run up your grocery bill. It can also lead to you gaining quite a bit of fat, if you’re not careful about it. The program does however help you burn off the fat during the last phase, but I talk about that in my Body Beast review, so I won’t cover it again here.
Body beast is also very dependent on the equipment. So if you don’t have all the right equipment you’ll find it hard to get the best results possible. If you really want to make the most of this program, it’s highly recommended that you have all the necessary equipment. This can get pretty expensive depending on what equipment you buy. I would recommend getting adjustable dumbbells to cut down on costs. However, adjustable dumbbells can be fairly expensive if you get the high end ones.
